Teller & Associates is committed to excellence in the representation of injured people. When people and families are hurt by illegal workplace practices, consumer protection violations, an automobile accident, or government misconduct, the civil justice system in America often provides for financial compensation.

Our Seattle attorneys seek to obtain fair, reasonable and just compensation by providing professional and thorough representation. This means representing individuals against big corporations, insurance companies, governments, and their attorneys.

These groups are powerful, rich and experienced. Insurance companies and big corporations, however benevolent their public pronouncements, are in business to make a profit. For insurance companies, this profit is derived by charging you premiums for protection against the risks of accident and loss that we all face every day. The less money paid out, the greater the insurance company's profit.

Big corporations, whether they make a physical product, or just employ workers, improve their profits by cutting costs. It costs money to fund an appropriate anti-discrimination policy and a quality human resources department. When a high performer is a bigot or chauvinist, employers may be slow to curtail illegal behavior. The less money big corporations have to pay to comply with safety, wage, and anti-discrimination laws, the more profits they make.

Profit is why big corporations and the insurance industry promote legislation to limit the damages injured people and their families can receive in lawsuits. These limits are opposed by all consumer groups. Profit is why industry promotes the big lie that we live in a society overrun by "frivolous" lawsuits. These industries work against a fundamental principle of the American justice system - that disputes among citizens shall be resolved by the decision of the community embodied by a jury - rather than by the interests of a single business group.

Fighting these interests is the reason we became civil rights and injury lawyers. If justice is to be accomplished, someone has to be on the side of the injured person and their family—someone skilled, experienced and owing allegiance only to you.

Suffering a serious injury or illegal workplace action can have life long consequences for the injured person and his or her family. Loss of earnings, sleepless nights, family turmoil, periods of disability, medical bills, and an uncertain future often result. We may be able to help. Give us a call.
